this week room 6 was learning about different cultures , for topic we are learning about Tonga .

We were instructed to make a DLO about an instrument , I chose to do the Rakau sticks . Next time I will make the DLO more exciting .

Respect DLO

At our school we have been focusing on Respect which is one of our CERR values. We were given this task to ensure we knew what respect was and how to show it . As some people in our class were not being respectful towards higher authority and other students in our school . I decided to do a Drawing .

Babysitting guidelines

A couple of weeks ago room 6 started working on keeping ourselves self as a topic program , learning about how to keep ourselves safe by choosing the safest options and learning about different types of abuse . At one point we looked at a story about a boy who was babysitting and we decided to make a DLO about babysitting guidelines and the steps parents can take to ensure that everything is good at home . While doing this i enjoyed making my own images , next time I will add in more information .

My Inquiry

This is my enquiry i have been working on this for the past six weeks it is all about child rights and social justice I chose to do mine on child poverty and child labour . I enjoyed learning more about the things around me . Next time I will try to use different apps and resources .

Social justice week

W.A.L.T... Identify people in our community who may be isolated . 

WHile doing this i enjoyed using new apps . Next time I will try to do more . 

Preserving

W.A.L.T... Identify   that preserving removes one or more of the conditions that fungi and bacteria need for growth.

Next time I will do more cultures . While doing this I enjoyed learning about different cultures.

Mould

W.A.L.T... Explore mould 

This week we opened our packages to see if they  had grown any mould.

These are our results .

While doing this I enjoyed seeing our results and comparing to others to see if we had more or not .

Next time I will write more about what we did and how we can prevent mould.

Fair test !

This term my class has been learning about mould. Then with what we know about mould we did a fair test this means that everything is the same except one thing we had to test to see what on would grow the most mould these are my results.

While doing this I enjoyed talking with my peers to find out what we would test. 

Next time I would change how big it was as I think this is why no mould grew.

The mould life cycle

While doing this I enjoyed looking at and researching more about mould. next time I will add more.

Mould is not a plant of animal

differentiate between plant like and animal like characteristics of mould.

Introducing Nikita

This week we had to create a DLO about us to introduce ourselves to the Class. While doing this I enjoyed  answering the questions and thinking about what the answers could be. Next time I will add in more pictures to make it more interesting.
